Thank you for your comment! Sadly in my practice I fequently care for men who "cannot find their penis". Through the years I have witnessed varied attempts to place the foley catheter in these patients. I have even seen a physician use a speculum (like you would use for a gynecological exam) to locate the opening of the urethra. I have also seen physicians use the intubation blade to try and navigate through the extra adipose tissue. Your comment is right on.
