Metastatic Esophageal Cancer – Epidural Mass

Elderly male with a history of a metastatic esophageal cancer presented with progressively worsening back pain. MRI of his spine demonstrated an epidural thoracic spine mass encroaching on the spinal cord. This was presumed to be a metastatic lesion with esophageal cancer being the primary. The patient underwent neurosurgical removal of the metastatic lesion.
